center for health outcomes research and education
The Center for Health Outcomes Research and Education at UHSP (CORE) was established in November 2016 with support from Express Scripts Foundation. With a mission focused on improving health and health care, CORE is made up of a multidisciplinary team of researchers with expertise in health outcomes research, pharmacoeconomics, big data and machine learning, epidemiology, public health, and patient health behavior that creates an environment for collaboration, innovation, learning and cutting-edge research.
CORE works to develop research-focused partnerships with educational networks, locally affiliated health care systems, community organizations, state agencies, and national and international institutions. The Center is a transdisciplinary hub across UHSP colleges, with a faculty united in their goal of improving the health of individuals and populations in the region and around the globe.
Through its collaborative efforts with community partners like Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, St. Louis University, BJC HealthCare and Express Scripts Inc., CORE works to build project-based datasets and support community-wide information exchange and research capacity.
