COVID-19 PROCEDURES AND REPORTING
UHSP continues to monitor developments related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the University continues to welcome visitors to campus and asks that all visitors and UHSP community members remain mindful of their symptoms and follow guidelines from authoritative agencies.
COVID-19 Resources
We encourage all members of the campus community to be mindful of ongoing health and safety guidelines.
CARES Act Funding
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing recession, Congress passed several economic stimulus bills that allocate Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) to colleges and universities based on their enrollment of Federal Pell Grant recipients and those students who do not receive Pell Grants.
The grants required application for a student portion and an institutional portion of available relief funds. The student portion of the funds is distributed directly to students in the form of emergency grants for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. The University portion of the funds is utilized to offset institutional costs caused by the pandemic.
