SUBMIT FINAL TRANSCRIPTS

Final transcripts are required to finalize your enrollment as your admittance is contingent upon successful completion of all required coursework.

Official transcripts are due by Aug. 1 for fall entry and Dec. 1 for spring entry.

ACTIVATE YOUR UNIVERSITY EMAIL

Your UHSP email will be the primary place that faculty, staff and fellow students will communicate with you. You’ll also use these credentials to access campus platforms like the online learning portal, campus intranet and certain library resources. Follow the email activation instructions to activate your account.

COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA

Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for financial aid. Be sure to include UHSP’s school code 002504 when you apply.

The application is scheduled to open in December and the submission deadline is June 1. Once we receive your FAFSA information, we will compile a financial aid package that’s customized for you.

APPLY FOR HOUSING OR REQUEST A HOUSING WAIVER

UHSP has an on-campus housing requirement through junior year. If you are unsure, your admissions representative can assist in determining what your housing requirement may be.

Students who live on campus reside in either the private-access, 220-bed North Residence Hall, located on the fifth through seventh floors of the Recreation and Student Center (RAS), or the South Residence Hall, featuring traditional dorm-, apartment- and suite-style living environments.

The housing application opens in March.

Note: you will need to activate your UHSP email before you can apply for housing.

COMPLETE MATH PLACEMENT

To effectively determine the appropriate level of initial math or science courses, you will be asked to complete a math placement assessment. Do not stress about this. It is only used to place you in the courses that will set you up for success at UHSP.

The math placement assessment opens in late-spring and is required in order to develop your first semester schedule. Your admissions representative will provide additional information.

Note: you will need to activate your UHSP email before you can complete the assessment.

SUBMIT IMMUNIZATIONS AND PROOF OF HEALTH INSURANCE

In the event of an accident or unexpected illness, we do not want to leave you burdened with high medical debt, so the University requires all students to provide proof of immunization and active health insurance coverage.

Proof of insurance and immunizations can be provided via Complio, a comprehensive tool for student screenings, immunizations and compliance.

You will receive an email from your admissions representative with detailed information regarding what is needed, the submission platform and deadlines.

SUBMIT ID BADGE PHOTO

When you get to campus, you’ll be issued a UHSP ID badge. This will serve as your University identification during your time at the University.

We ask that you submit a photo to be used for your ID badge, so we can have it ready for you when you arrive. An email will be shared over the summer with instructions on how to submit your ID photo.

Note: you will need to activate your UHSP email before you can submit your ID photo.

SUBMIT PHOTO RELEASE FORM

It is common for the University to document activities, events and life on campus as well as share the unique stories and perspectives of students, faculty and staff. As a new member of the campus community, you’ll be asked to complete a photo release form granting the University right to use, reproduce or publish these images, testimonials or biographical information in ways it deems appropriate.

Note: you will need to activate your UHSP email before you can submit your photo release form.

REGISTER FOR PARKING (OPTIONAL)

Incoming students who wish to park on campus can choose from three options:

UHSP Main Garage: Located on the south side of the UHSP campus.
Duncan Central Garage: Located one block east of campus.
1234 South Kingshighway Lot: This lot is located 1 mile south of campus and offers a dedicated shuttle to and from campus at no charge.

Information on parking costs can be found on the undergraduate tuition and fees page. Parking registration opens in late-spring, early-summer.

Move-In Day

During Move-In Day, the UHSP community comes together to help you get moved and settled into your dorm room. With the extra hands, we expedite the move in process so you don’t have to make multiple trips to and from the garage so you can jump right into making yourself at home.

It is a great opportunity to meet faculty and staff, as well as your new neighbors, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a bonfire where you can enjoy hotdogs and s’mores while getting to know your new classmates.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation, a series of events the week before classes begin, provides the opportunity to familiarize yourself with campus and its services and complete any lingering enrollment tasks. Students will learn about campus resources and academic expectations while mixing in fun activities throughout the days and evenings.

Attendance is required, so please save the dates in your calendar.
