The Transfer Process

Ready to take the next step and apply to UHSP? We’ve made the transfer process easy for you. Follow our step-by-step guide through the transfer admission process.

Step 2: Submit Transcripts

Submit your Official College Transcripts. 

Plan to include transcripts from all colleges you have attended, even if you do not intend to transfer credit from that college. Your official transcripts should be mailed directly from the issuing institution to UHSP.

To have an idea of what credits will transfer, you can submit your transcript for an evaluation to before you apply.

Step 3: Submit Documents

Submit optional or requested supplemental documents. 

Throughout the application review process, supplemental items may be requested. Should these be needed, we’ll contact you to guide you through the next steps. Examples of additional items include: 

  • Letters of Recommendation. Letters of recommendation are not required to submit your application. However, recommendations can strengthen your application, and for some students, may be required during the review process. 
  • Essay. During our holistic review process, some students may be asked to submit a written essay. If an essay is requested, students will be provided with a prompt.

I’ve Been Admitted to UHSP, Now What? 

Submit Your Deposit

Your space at the University is not saved until you submit your deposit. Once your deposit is received, you will receive access to complete the rest of your enrollment steps. 

Complete Your FAFSA 

Once your FAFSA is received, we will compile a customized aid package based on your finances, need and merit.

Complete Additional Enrollment Tasks*

Your New Student Portal will list additional enrollment tasks, including: 

  • Activate Your University Email  
  • Apply for Housing or Parking
  • Attend Transfer Orientation
  • Submit Required Immunizations and Health Screenings 

*Note: some steps will become available throughout the year once you activate your UHSP email.
