Graduate Program Expenses

There are additional costs associated with professional program courses and experiences. An outline of those costs will be distributed to you before the beginning of each academic year.

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis has a “one fee” approach to annual student fees wherein a single student fee is assessed to cover costs in a range of areas not covered under tuition, room and board charges.

These areas include but are not limited to orientation and graduation, student activities and cultural enrichment and laboratory expenses.

The Annual Student Fee does not include additional expenses that vary based on options chosen by the student (i.e., housing, parking, etc.).

UHSP offers a number of meal plans and rooming options to meet the needs and budgets of our students. Review the floor plans and amenities you’ll find in our graduate residence hall.

Housing

Graduate students are not required to live on campus. Room and board costs vary based on a student’s room type selection. Learn more about living on campus or review the complete schedule of room and meal plan rates.

In addition to tuition, fees, room and meal plan, students should consider these other expenses when planning your yearly budget.

Additional Items to Consider

Laptop Purchases

In addition to annual fees and expenses, students who are new to the University are responsible for the purchase of a laptop through the University’s online storefront. Laptop prices range from approximately $1,200-$1,500, depending on student selections. Once purchased, the laptop belongs to the student, and it may be replaced at the student’s discretion. Returning students should talk with the Information Technology Department for buyout options of their current leased laptop.

Student Health Insurance

Students are required to maintain health insurance coverage. Each year, students who do not waive health insurance coverage by the published deadline will be assessed fees for health insurance.

Ready for what’s next? Extraordinary awaits.
