Professional Program Expenses

There are additional costs associated with professional program courses and experiences. An outline of those costs will be distributed to you before the beginning of each academic year. Financial aid may be used to cover a portion or all of these costs.

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis has a “one fee” approach to annual student fees wherein a single student fee is assessed to cover costs in a range of areas not covered under tuition, room and board charges.

These areas include but are not limited to orientation and graduation, student activities and cultural enrichment and laboratory expenses.

The Annual Student Fee does not include additional expenses that vary based on options chosen by the student (i.e., housing, parking, etc.).

UHSP offers a number of meal plans and rooming options to meet the needs and budgets of our students. Review the floor plans and amenities you’ll find in our graduate residence hall.

Housing

Professional students are not required to live on campus. Housing costs vary based on a student’s room type selection. Learn more about living on campus or review the complete schedule of room and meal plan rates.

In addition to tuition, fees, room and meal plan, students should consider these other expenses when planning your yearly budget.

Additional Items to Consider:

Laptop Purchases

In addition to annual fees and expenses, students are required to provide a personal laptop on which to conduct their coursework. Costs can range depending on student selections. Students are welcome to select Apple or Windows products, but Chromebooks are not compatible with campus platforms and should be avoided.

Laptop Specification Recommendations:

  • i7 or Apple Silicon M2 Processor
  • 16Gb Ram
  • 256Gb SSD
  • Built-in Webcam + Mic
  • Accidental Damage Protection Warranty

Student Health Insurance

All UHSP students are required to carry health insurance coverage. Students may remain covered by an existing health insurance plan or enroll in a new plan before enrolling at the University.
