
About the Pharm.D. Program

Students may pursue a Pharm.D. through several pathways beginning as undergraduate students or entering the program at the first-professional (P1) year.
Professional Program Entry
The Pharm.D. curriculum prepares students to provide interprofessional, evidence-based, patient centered care in any practice setting, achieving positive health outcomes for patients. Students who complete their prerequisite coursework or bachelors degree may apply for entry to the Pharm.D. program.
Interested in Pharmacy but Not Ready to Apply?
Pharm.D. applicants much have commpleted prerequisite coursework or a bachelor's degree for entry into the program. If you are just beinning your undergraduate coursework or working through your prerequisites, check out our pre-pharmacy B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
Students who do not wish to pursue a bachelor's degree may complete pre-pharmacy coursework prior to entering the Pharm.D. program. Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at the University may integrate their Bachelor of Science and Pharm.D. The first professional year fulfills senior-level requirements, saving students a full year of study.
