CLERY ACT REPORTING

The University reports on and provides campus security information, including crime statistics for campus and the surrounding area, in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) as updated by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA), Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE Act), and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.

REPORT A CRIME

Need to report a campus crime? Crime reports may be submitted for reporting under the Clery Act. The details of this report will not be made public. Only the number of crimes occurring will be released. Your name will not be released, and it is not required for the report, but it will help ensure the crime is not counted twice.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Every October, an annual report containing three years of campus crime statistics is compiled. It includes reported crimes that occurred on campus or property owned or controlled by the University, in certain off-campus buildings, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

Daily Crime and Fire Log

The University publishes a daily crime and fire log consistent with federal reporting requirements and to increase awareness about security matters.

The crime log records criminal incidents and alleged criminal incidents that are reported to the Public Safety team. The fire log records actual fires that occur in on-campus student housing facilities by accidental, intentional or unknown causes.
