At UHSP, your classes (even history and public speaking) are taught through a health sciences-focused lens so you develop the skills you’ll need to grow into an excellent doctor.

General Biology with lab (8 credit hours)

General Chemistry with lab (8 credit hours)

Organic Chemistry with lab (8 credit hours)

Physics with lab (8 credit hours)

Statistics (Some schools will require Calculus)

English with writing intensive courses (6 credit hours)

Psychology and Sociology (may or may not be a prerequisite)

Recommended: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Medical Terminology
MCAT: Introductory Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Human Physiology, Psychology and Sociology
