Pre-dentistry isn’t an actual degree, but instead the set of coursework you complete to prepare you for your DMAT and dental school.

At UHSP, you’ll benefit from coursework that is taught through the lens of health care from your very first class, giving you a unique perspective and set of skills to carry forward into dental school and beyond.

General Biology with lab (8 credit hours) 

General Chemistry with lab (8 credit hours) 

Organic Chemistry with lab (8 credit hours) 

Physics with lab (8 credit hours) 

Statistics (some schools will require Calculus) 

English with writing intensive courses (6 credit hours) 

Recommended: English or Writing Intensive, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Psychology, Sociology

ATSU’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program features an innovative curriculum that integrates core disciplines into the human systems, preclinical and dental sciences with a strong emphasis on the application of clinical medicine and clinical dentistry.
