Meet the Challengers

Fred Tonnies*
B.S. ’68, M.S. ’90
Before his passing in August, Fred Tonnies, a long-time supporter of the University, contributed a $5,000 challenge gift earlier this year. Throughout his life, Fred demonstrated a commitment to service and giving back by establishing several endowed University scholarships, precepting St. Louis College of Pharmacy students and serving as a leader in the University community. This final gift cements his legacy of commitment to the University, its students and the wider pharmacy profession.

*Tonnies’ contribution was completed before his passing this summer.
