Freshmen Scholarships

At UHSP, we’re committed to helping you afford your education. That is why 100% of admitted undergraduate students receive a University Scholarship based on their GPA. But we know there is more to your story than a strong GPA, and we want to reward that too!

UHSP offers several additional freshman scholarships that can be stacked with your University scholarship to recognize everything you’ve achieved thus far. Freshmen are first-time college students, including students who have completed college-level credit as a high schooler, enrolling in the University full-time.

Athletic Scholarships

Student athletes can be awarded a scholarship to compete on a UHSP athletic team.

Students must be recruited to a UHSP Athletic team.

Individual coaches will work directly with students on their athletic award. Scholarship amounts vary by player and team.

Requesting a Scholarship Review

Sometimes things change — like updated grades, new test scores or additional coursework. If you have new information that could impact your scholarship eligibility, you can request a review.

When requesting a review, you will need to submit your updated or new information and any supporting documentation. Our team will carefully consider any updates you provide.

Students may request one review and it must be submitted prior to enrollment. The review process opens in November.

Endowed Scholarships

Current UHSP students can apply for additional scholarship funding through endowed scholarships, which are funded by UHSP donors.

Each spring, the scholarship committee connects students to more than 200 available scholarships to be dispensed for the following academic year. Criteria vary by scholarship.
