Service Learning Course
Through our International Service Learning course, students learn in the classroom prior to traveling to an international location to work with an approved non-governmental organization such as Habitat for Humanity International.
Each three-credit-hour course includes time spent in the classroom and two-weeks in an international location.
The classroom portion of the course prepares students to interact with diverse populations. The course provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience serving others.
This elective course encourages students to explore their own values and learn more about the populations they are serving. By collaborating with residents of the host country, students grow personally and professionally.
Making an Impact Abroad
Through international service learning, students are impacting the lives of patients around the world. Since 2013, more than 87 students have helped build homes across the globe in countries including:
- Costa Rica
