I was initially thinking I’d go to med school after undergrad. However, as I explored my options here, a Pharm.D. seemed more aligned with my interests and I realized I could earn both my pharmacy degree and undergraduate degree a year faster. I knew it was the right path for me.

I have such a close relationship with my professors because they know who I am and make me feel like I can make a difference. They make me feel valued and are aware of my interests and everything I am involved in, and they are always willing to help me when I need it.

When I first started looking at colleges, I was looking at majors like biomedical sciences that would put me on the pre-med path. At UHSP there is so much specialization in the sciences and it helped my mind to stay grounded.

I knew I wanted to work with drug synthesis and UHSP was the only place that had the degree that I was interested in. The great thing about the program is that you get to know your professors in the lab as well as in class, so it makes you less afraid to ask questions because you already have a good familiarity with the people that you’re working with.
