Tell us about yourself: As a Navy brat, I grew up oversees, mainly in Spain. As an adult, I moved to the United States in 2012, and since then, I’ve lived in New Mexico, Colorado and St. Louis. I’m a collage artist and an amateur photographer. I live with two dogs, a cat and my partner of 10 years. I’m a first-generation college graduate. Prior to working at UHSP, I was a legal assistant at a disability law firm.
What does a typical day look like for you? After snoozing once or twice, I make tea and get ready for work. I commute by public transportation and read on the way to work. Every day at the office is a little different depending on the needs of the department. After commuting back home, I cook dinner and then go to my home studio for some collage making.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about art and sustainability.
What’s the best part about working at UHSP? The best part about working at UHSP are the people and the work-life balance. I enjoy interacting with everyone on campus. There’s a great sense of comradery, helpfulness and kindness. It’s great to work in such a positive and welcoming environment.
