What does a typical day look like for you?
My day starts by getting woken up by my toddler or forcing him to wake up to get him to childcare. I also start my day at UHSP by walking from the Kingshighway parking lot since I really enjoy starting and ending my day with a walk listening to podcasts. After the previously mentioned toddler goes to bed, I try to get at least one episode in from the backlog of streaming shows I am behind on.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about exploring St. Louis city and supporting local businesses. I love finding the lesser-known spots around town and trying out the hidden gem restaurants around town.
What’s the best part about working at UHSP?
It's great to be on a campus that is part of a larger community within the Central West End, with all the activities and amenities. But UHSP still is a tight community where everyone knows everyone — or at least recognizes each other.
What do you want students and campus to know about the student engagement and leadership opportunities on campus?
There are many ways for students to get involved on campus. Beyond joining one of the many organizations, there are various leadership opportunities students are encouraged to engage in. Whether it is being a resident assistant, an orientation leader, course student instructor, or Student Government Association representative, you’re bound to find your leadership niche.
