UHSP Earns Top Rankings in Latest AACP Research Rankings Report
Published on 28 July 2022University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis received several top ten rankings among private pharmacy institutions in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s (AACP) most recent Funded Research Grant Institutional Rankings Report.
During Fiscal Year 2021, UHSP was ranked No. 4 in National Institutes of Health grants, No. 6 in total-federal grants and total extramural funding, and No. 8 in non-federal grants. For the third consecutive year, the University also ranked in the top 50 among all colleges of pharmacy for total federal research awards.
The recently released report provides aggregated grant data for National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants, along with other federal, total federal and non-federal grants, and a sum of all extramural research grants received by pharmacy schools during Fiscal Year 2021 (Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021).
With extramural funding at the University continuing to increase steadily, the University currently receives annual funding through NIH and other granting agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S Food and Drug administration, the Office of Naval Research and the World Health Organization.
