Allergy Relief Without Pseudoephedrine

Published on 20 August 2015

A recent survey conducted by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation focused on attitudes towards purchasing over-the-counter medication containing pseudoephedrine brings up important issues about choosing medication. Patients looking for relief from cough, cold, and allergy symptoms can talk with their pharmacist about all the options on the market. As medication experts, we are well versed on all the over-the-counter medicine on the shelves, and you do not need to have an appointment to talk with one of us. In addition to being an educator, I am also a practicing pharmacist. One of the many things I love about my job is talking with patients and finding the right medicine for each person’s symptoms. Study after study shows patients have better long-term health outcomes when working with a pharmacist. The next time you’re looking for relief, take a couple of minutes to ask some questions. We’re here to help.
