Tuition and Fees

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis’ 2022-23 cost of attendance is listed below for the undergraduateprofessional and graduate programs. 

The University offers a variety of need-based financial aid to help with the cost of tuition and expenses. Last year, the University provided more than $6.6 million in institutional aid, and approximately 97% of students received some sort of financial aid support.

Undergraduate Tuition and Fees*

For undergraduate students, 2023-24 tuition will be assessed as outlined below. Full-time tuition is based on a course load of 12-18 credit hours. For course loads of less than 12 credit hours or more than 18 credit hours, tuition will be assessed at the per-credit-hour rate.

About the Annual Student Fee

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis has a “one fee” approach to annual student fees wherein a single student fee is assessed to cover costs in a range of areas not covered under tuition, room and board charges.

These areas include, but are not limited to, orientation and graduation; student activities and cultural enrichment; and laboratory expenses.

The Annual Student Fee does not include additional expenses that vary based on options chosen by the student (i.e., housing, parking, etc.).

Additional items to consider:

  • Laptop Purchases: In addition to annual fees and expenses, students who are new to the University are responsible for the purchase of a laptop through the University’s online storefront. Laptop prices range from approximately $1,200-$1,500, depending on student selections. Once purchased, the laptop belongs to the student, and it may be replaced at the student’s discretion. Returning students should talk with the Information Technology Department for buyout options of their current leased laptop. 
  • Student Health Insurance: Students are required to maintain health insurance coverage. Each year, students who do not waive health insurance coverage by the published deadline will be assessed fees for health insurance. Learn more at uhsp.edu/insurance.
  • Room and Board: Room and board costs vary based on a student's room type selection. Learn more about living on campus or review the complete schedule of room and meal plan ratesThe University requires that all first-year, sophomore and junior students live on campus and enter into a residency agreement each academic year when enrolled at the University. Professional Program Tuition, Fees and Expenses

Professional Program Tuition*

For students in the professional program, 2023-24 tuition will be assessed as outlined below. Full-time tuition is based on a course load of 12-18 credit hours. For course loads of less than 12 credit hours or more than 18 credit hours, tuition will be assessed at the per-credit-hour rate.

The eight required Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs) in the P4 year will be charged at a per-rotation rate, and rotations will be charged in the semester during which they are completed.
