In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Security Act, incidents of crime and other related information are posted on our website. The Annual Security and Fire Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by St. Louis College of Pharmacy; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to or accessible from, the campus. The report also includes fire safety policies and statistics, emergency notification procedures, and protocols for missing persons. Employment Benefits

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis strives to maintain an outstanding, competitive benefits package that assists in recruiting and retaining the best faculty and staff. The University has a track record of being named in the Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Great College’s to Work For” in the Benefits and Compensation category.

Full-time (at least .80 FTE) staff and faculty are eligible to participate in the University’s benefits plan, which includes multiple health plan options, dental plan, vision and University-paid life and disability coverage.

Two health plan options:

  • Our PPO offers: $250 deductible, $20 office visit co-pays, 10% co-insurance with a large national network of providers.
  • QDHP option: $1,500 deductible, $3,000 out of pocket maximum, 20% co-insurance with a large national network of providers.

Employees contributions are based on an income level ($50,000) with employee premiums maintaining affordable levels compared to benchmarks.

Retirement consists of a 403(b) Retirement Plan with a generous two to one University match, currently capped at a 4% match. The plan includes both ROTH and traditional pre-tax deferral options.

Employees can enroll in dental or vision coverage. Employees can purchase optional voluntary supplemental life, supplemental AD&D, dependent life, and short-term disability coverage.

Benefits provided exclusively at the University’s expense include employee life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance equal to the employee’s annual salary, travel accident insurance, travel medical insurance, long-term disability, and an employee assistance plan.

Tuition reimbursement is available for staff professional development. Complimentary University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis tuition is available for dependents after five years of service. Employee dependents may opt for Council of Independent Colleges tuition remission at participating schools.

The University also offers a generous holiday schedule (14 days for most employees), five floating personal holidays, and vacation time (12 month faculty get 22 days per year, 12 month staff start at 10 days per year, earn 15 in their fifth year, 20 in their tenth).Other benefits and perks include:

Title IX, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Relationship Violence and Stalking

Title IX of the Higher Education Act Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities and employment.  Discrimination on the bases of sex includes sexual harassment.  University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is committed to preventing sexual harassment in its programs and activities and complying with the requirements for handling reports of sexual harassment under Title IX.  The University takes the safety and well-being of its students, faculty and staff seriously and offers many forms of educational and support services to prevent and address sexual harassment in the event that sexual harassment does occur.
