What is Pre-Nursing?
Pre-nursing is a set of designated coursework you take in your undergraduate education to prepare you for nursing school. Through the pre-nursing path at UHSP, your classes (even history and public speaking) are taught through a health sciences lens so you develop the skills you’ll need to grow into an excellent nurse.

As a UHSP pre-nursing student, you have unique opportunities at your disposal through our partnership with Goldfarb-School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, where upon fulfilling your prerequisites, you can pursue either an accelerated option that allows you to earn two degrees in less time or the upper division option where a seat will be reserved for you into Goldfarb’s BSN program if you are admitted to the University as a first-year student and meet admission requirements for Goldfarb. Most students complete their full degree within four years.
