Ways to get involved
Make Your Mark by Making a Difference
If you long to be part of something more, University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis offers a number of ways to make a difference on campus and in the greater community.
Student Organizations
Connect with peers on social, cultural, political, professional and special interests. From professional associations to student government to eSports and gaming clubs, UHSP offers more than 50 student organizations to explore your interests, develop leadership skills, meet others, and have fun.

Community Service
UHSP students, faculty, staff and alumni volunteer thousands of hours every year in activities that improve society. Every fall, the campus community celebrates our University’s Founders Day by volunteering across the St. Louis area in a collective day of service.
Students also host an annual walk-by health clinic on campus where they offer free immunizations, screenings and health resources for the surrounding community.
Advocacy
Each spring, hundreds of students take a day to educate Missouri lawmakers and citizens on issues affecting pharmacy and health care, as well as the essential role pharmacists play in community health. In honor of the Missouri Pharmacy Association’s Legislative Day, students travel to the state capitol in Jefferson City to lobby legislators about congressional bills affecting the profession of pharmacy.

Research
At UHSP, students have a front-row seat to cutting-edge research and the opportunity to join in the process. Research is part of who we are, which means we ensure our students can engage in meaningful research alongside expert faculty and clinicians at every level of their academic career if they want to.
Get in the Game
Are you passionate about athletics? We are, too. With 28 NAIA intercollegiate sports, UHSP offers plenty of opportunities to play the sports you love with classmates who are just as competitive as you are.
