About the Agreement

Cost

UMSL agrees that the out-of-pocket tuition cost to transferring UHSP students will be comparable to, or lower than, the average out-of-pocket tuition cost such students would have incurred at UHSP.

Admisson

UMSL will provide preferred admission consideration to UHSP students who submit a completed transfer application and all required materials by May 15, 2026. Students who do not meet the standard 2.3 cumulative GPA requirement for admission will nevertheless receive individualized review and transfer consideration.

This Agreement does not guarantee admission to any specific program, clinical placement, or degree completion timeline. Admission and continuation in a UMSL program remain subject to institutional policies, available capacity, accreditation requirements, and applicable academic standards.

Credit Transfer

UMSL agrees to review UHSP coursework completed prior to the date of closure and to award transfer credit, to the maximum extent permitted under UMSL policies and applicable accreditation standards. Transfer credits will be evaluated using the same minimum grade requirements that apply to current UMSL students. UMSL further agrees to waive both its residency requirement for graduation and its maximum transfer credit limit for students transferring under this Agreement.
