About the Agreement

Cost

For each Teach-Out Student transitioning to Illinois College from UHSP, the applicable undergraduate net tuition to complete required courses for graduation from Illinois College will be comparable to or less than what the Teach-Out Student paid at UHSP in his/her last year of enrollment at UHSP. Illinois College commits that tuition rates for Teach-Out Students will not increase at a rate greater than the rate for existing Illinois College students in all subsequent years.

Credit Transfer

Illinois College will accept 100% of all credits that have been granted or accepted in accordance with transfer, advanced placement, international baccalaureate, or dual credit policies by UHSP and guarantee admission to UHSP Teach-Out Students in good academic standing as defined by Illinois College.

Illinois College defines “good academic standing” for undergraduate students as a cumulative GPA of 1.5 or higher in the first semester, 1.7 or higher in the second semester, 1.9 or higher in the third semester, and continued cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher after four semesters. All students in their first year at Illinois College must successfully complete 66% of all attempted credit hours. After the first year, students must reach a cumulative completion rate of 75% for all attempted credit hours.
