Lisbon, Portugal

In Lisbon, Portugal, students work with the Portuguese National Association of Pharmacies (ANF) on global pharmacy initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in association management. Through impactful projects and visits to key health care organizations, students contribute to advancing pharmacy practices and explore Portugal’s health care system up close.

Dublin, Ireland

In Dublin, Ireland, professional students can complete international Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences at Trinity College, exploring areas like pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacy education. These experiences showcase the power of global learning and hands-on practice in shaping the future of pharmacy.

New Chapter. Same Legacy.

In early 2026, University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy reached an agreement for Washington University to acquire its campus and St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Pending regulatory approval, the college will become WashU’s 10th academic school following the 2026-27 academic year, opening new opportunities to advance pharmacy education in St. Louis and reaffirming a mutual commitment to preparing the next generation of health leaders.

During this transition, our website may still include UHSP branding. However, our Pharm.D. program continues to offer the exceptional education, hands-on training and opportunities students expect from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

Designed to simulate settings and situations you’ll encounter in the real-life practice of pharmacy, our innovative skills labs and exam rooms provide the perfect environment for hands-on learning.

Community Skills Lab

A mock pharmacy setting where students can experience the workflow of a community pharmacy, recommend over-the-counter medications and counsel patients about self-care and prescription medications.

Pharmaceutics Lab

Learn the fundamental basics of the art of drug formulation, run pharmaceutical sciences experiments and practice how to interpret prescriptions to efficiently compound a variety of dosage forms, including solutions, suspensions, emulsions, capusles, ointments and creams and suppositories.

Clinical Exam Rooms

Practice and develop your patient care and communication skills within simulated exam rooms that mimic the look and feel of a traditional physician’s office that feature exam recording capabilities, which allow faculty to record, watch and assess your interactions with standardized patients.

Hospital Skills Lab

Develop your pharmacy practice skills in a health-system setting. Within the main hospital skills lab, is a sterile compounding lab with state-of-the-art laminar flow hoods that allow students to prepare IV medications.
