UHSP gratefully acknowledges the continued contributions of our donors. In recognition of our most generous donors, University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis has established leadership giving societies.

Mortar & Pestle Society

Donor contributions help ensure a quality education and expands student and faculty opportunities at the University.

By making an annual contribution of $1,000 or more, you will become a member of the Mortar & Pestle Society. Lifetime membership starts at $10,000 in cumulative giving.

  • Invitations to exclusive, complimentary annual events like the spring dinner and winter reception
  • A prominent listing in the UHSP annual honor roll
  • Communication including campus news, updates on University activities and regional and campus events
  • A dedicated advancement staff member to support your philanthropy throughout the year

Members of the M&P Society

1864 Society

Named in honor of the institution’s founding year, the 1864 Society recognizes supporters who have made a major commitment to the University through a planned gift.

Society members build on the past by making a mark on our future and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to making a difference in the life of every student.

○ A will or trust
○ A life-income plan, such as a charitable gift annuity
○ Designating UHSP as the beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement plan
○ Other special planned gifts

  • An invitation to the exclusive 1864 Society Brunch hosted by the President of the University
  • A prominent listing in UHSP’s annual honor roll
  • Communication including campus news, updates on UHSP activities and regional and campus events
  • A dedicated advancement staff member to support your philanthropy throughout the year

Women’s Giving Society

The Women’s Giving Society is a group of alumnae, pharmacy professionals and community leaders invested in making an impact on the lives of UHSP students. Those who donate $1,000 or more during the calendar year are considered voting members and are invited to meet each January to determine how the funds raised will be used.

Programs supported by the society have included:

○ Student Research
○ Student Emergency Fund
○ Professional Development
○ International Rotations
○ Career Development

  • Invitation to social and professional development events throughout the year
  • Donors who give at the $1,000+ level annually are recognized as a part of the University’s Mortar & Pestle Society and receive all M&P Society member benefits
  • Opportunities to network with fellow women leaders interested in philanthropy
  • Ability to directly impact the lives of students
  • Satisfaction of knowing you are a part of an empowered group of women who desire to make a difference in the lives of UHSP students

Your tax-deductible gift will help shape the future of health care education. Membership in our societies is renewable based on gifts made or facilitated by an individual and their spouse. Organization matching gifts count toward membership if they are received or verified within the calendar year.
