First- and second-year students reside in the 220-bed North Residence Hall. North Residence Hall is located on the fifth through seventh floors of the Recreation and Student Center and is designed to foster
On the first floor, you will find a hub of activity where students enjoy the full-service dining facility, student organizations set up booths in the lobby, and fans cheer on the Eutectics in the competition gymnasium.
Residents also have plenty of places to relax, hang with friends or stay active.
The student lounge located on the third floor is home to ping-pong and pool tables, a video game lounge and TV area. Located across from the student lounge, the Student Fitness Center provides state-of-the-art equipment, a two-lane, 200-meter indoor track, recreational gymnasium
Expectations for Living On Campus
Living on campus is a significant aspect of the educational experience, and studies show that students who live on campus experience a greater likelihood of academic and personal success.
Residency Requirements
The University requires that all first-year, sophomore and junior students live on campus and enter into a residency agreement each academic year when enrolled at the University. For specific requirements regarding on-campus housing, review the Academic Catalog.
Room Occupancy Dates
All students will be permitted to remain in their rooms during Labor Day, Fall Break and Thanksgiving Break. Winter and summer breaks are not included in the annual housing
Fall Semester
The residence period begins on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, for new students and Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, for continuing students. Fall semester occupancy ends on the last day of final examinations, Dec. 9, 2021.
Spring Semester
Students may return for the

Single- and Double-Occupancy Rooms
North Residence Hall bedrooms overlook the city or the Quad. Rooms are shared by two roommates. Bathrooms join two rooms, and they are shared by four suitemates.
Each room includes basic cable, movie-streaming services, Wi-Fi and comes fully furnished with an extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, dresser and closet for each resident. Bathrooms feature a shower, toilet and double-sink vanity.
