SUMMER IMMERSION Application and ELIGIBILITY

The 2024 UHSP Health Care Summer Immersion Application is now open! The program is open to rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with preference given to juniors and seniors. Participants must be at least 16 years of age by the program start date and hold at least a 3.0/4.0 overall GPA. 

The deadline to apply is May 28.

Summer Immersion Application Process

Applicants are evaluated on academic excellence and readiness to study and live independently in a college setting. 

Reviews of completed applications will begin February 1 and decisions will be made on a rolling basis. Please make sure to regularly check your email for correspondence. All materials must be received by the application deadline to be considered for a space in the program. 

A $450 non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of enrollment to secure your place in the program. The deposit will be credited to your account, going towards the overall cost of attendance.

The following materials will be required within the application.

If official transcripts are not available, we will accept unofficial transcripts, grade or progress reports.

Respond to the prompt: What do you want out of your future college experience and how will attending the Health Care Summer Immersion Program help you prepare for this experience and your future collegiate success? 


letter of recommendation

Submit a letter of recommendation from a school counselor, teacher, supervisor or coach. In the letter, please include their name, position, phone number and email address.
