The recently released report provides aggregated grant data for National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants, along with other federal, total federal and non-federal grants, and a sum of all extramural research grants received by pharmacy schools during Fiscal Year 2020 (Oct. 1, 2019 through Sept. 30, 2020).
In addition to its top 50 ranking for total federal research awards, the University also ranked in the top 50 for NIH and non-federal grants, and was ranked No. 24 for other federal grants. Among private pharmacy institutions, the University ranked No. 5 in the nation for total research awards.
With extramural funding at the University increasing steadily in recent years, the University currently receives annual funding through NIH and other granting agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S Food and Drug administration and the World Health Organization.
