Since our founding as St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1864, we have faced a number of challenges as an institution and community. In the face of extraordinary circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Founders Day will look a little different this year.
Though we will not have our on-campus observance, we will continue to celebrate our history and future through our Founders Day Giving Challenge and a look back at defining moments in our University’s history.
To learn more about our institution’s incredible history, we invite you to look back to our Sesquicentennial Celebration on Nov. 11, 2014, honoring the 150th anniversary of our founding. During our Sesquicentennial Convocation, Dr. Bob Zebroski, Ph.D., assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, chair of the Department of Liberal Arts and professor of history, gave a special presentation on this history our of institution and the pioneers that led our growth and evolution.
Founders Day Giving Challenge
Despite these changes, the Founders Day Giving Challenge, our dedicated day of giving, is still a great way to celebrate our founding and history while supporting current and future generations of students.
