SHARED GOVERNANCE

Through shared governance, University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis board of trustees, faculty, staff and students participate in institutional decision-making, bringing their unique perspectives and knowledge to the process.  

Members of the University community engage in shared governance through their appropriate elected, representative bodies. 

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association represents all students at the University and provides an opportunity for students to actively contribute to the academic and social climate of campus. 

The association encourages student participation in the governance process through the election of student leaders, attendance at association meetings and providing feedback. 

Faculty Senate

The faculty senate serves as the representative faculty body. 

The senate facilitates governance in matters relating to curriculum and instruction, faculty employment and welfare, and upholding faculty interests. 

Staff Council

The staff council represents the interests of staff in the governance process. 

The council advises the president on staff matters, recommends and reviews policies as they affect the staff, keeps the staff informed and provides a forum for discussion on matters of interest to the staff.
