Faculty Member Named Fellow
Published on 17 June 2014
Gloria Grice, Pharm.D., BCPS, associate professor of pharmacy practice and interim director, office of experiential education, has been named a fellow in the National Academies of Practice (NAP). Grice (second from right in photo), who has been given the designation of distinguished scholar, was one of only eight pharmacy fellows selected this year. NAP is an organization of health care professionals who are dedicated to promoting affordable, accessible, and quality health care with an emphasis on preventative care.
“I plan to be very involved with the organization,” Grice said. “NAP promotes a team-based approach, in which professionals from different disciplines work together to make decisions about patient care. The College’s curriculum is very much focused on this interprofessional model. My expectation is to bring back this work to the College to help prepare our students to be leaders in both the profession of pharmacy and health care.”
