With a bright future ahead, an energized community and a solid foundation, the stage was set for a new strategic plan — a plan unlike any other in the history of the University.

On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis Board of Trustees marked an important moment in the University’s history with the announcement of its fifth president. David D. Allen, R.Ph., Ph.D., FASHP, FNAP, FAPhA, will serve as the University’s next president, with his tenure beginning on July 1, 2021.

At the start of his career, Bob Eschbacher, B.S. ’85, MBA, Pharm.D., was unsure of where his path would lead him. Determined to make a positive impact on society, he set his sights on exploring all that the profession of pharmacy had to offer.

Juniors Jessica Wood and Darius Dorsey have found a supportive community of students, faculty and staff who work together to help them pursue their health sciences education while developing lifelong friendships and effective leadership skills.

Eric Knoll, Ph.D., vice president of operations at University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, instituted a unique testing strategy to track COVID-19 cases, which has allowed UHSP to safely conduct in-person learning throughout the 2020-2021 academic year and avoid widespread transmission of the virus.

Starting point guard Grace Beyer is the first Eutectic Women’s Basketball player in the history of the program to receive NAIA All-American recognition.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Admissions has adapted its recruitment strategies to meet the needs of incoming students.
